Camp Objective
Peace Camp Canada (PCC) works to bring together exceptional Palestinian, Israeli and Canadian
youth (aged 16-18), for two weeks of intensive dialogue, leadership building and personal
development. Founded by Michelle Divon, Peace Camp Canada is a youth for youth initiative that
prides itself on the quality and scope of its facilitation, on its balanced leadership and governance
structures, and on the Canadian moral and civic values it seeks to instill in its campers.
The Goals of Peace Camp Canada shall be three fold:
1. To create, build and sustain lasting friendships and bonds between Palestinians and Israelis;
relationships that are built upon mutual understanding, respect and trust.
2. To inspire, build and empower the next generation of leadership in the Middle-East by instilling
the value of personal responsibility within our campers; this as we strongly believe that social change
begins with individual action.
3. To illuminate what has long been forgotten; namely that the similarities between Palestinians and
Israelis, indeed between Muslims, Christians and Jews, by far exceeds the imagined and often
exaggerated differences.
